Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad again made news at the U.N. General Assembly yesterday by suggesting that 9/11 terrorist attack was orchestrated by the U.S. government in a plot that somehow would boost its economy and help Israel.

The U.S. delegation walked out before the tiny tyrant could finish his regurgitation of various half-baked conspiracy theories. It will be interesting to see what other delegations walked out, rather than listen to such nonsense.

Ahmadinejad also announced that Iran will host a conference on terrorism next year. That should be a fascinating conference because Iran’s ruthless regime has a long history of terrorism and remains the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism.

This is not the first time that Ahmadinejad has spouted conspiracy theories about the 9/11 attacks. Earlier this year he claimed that Osama bin Laden was in Washington. What a relief that President Obama yesterday stated in his U.N. speech that the “the door remains open” for engagement with Ahmadinejad’s nasty regime.
